The inventory categories are there to ‘bundle’ your inventory items into logical groups.
Set them up in a way that suits your business and style.
You can have sub categories, just choose an already existing inventory category as the ‘parent’
Adding Inventory Category #
- Click Settings
- Click Inventory Categories
- Click the ‘Add‘ button
- Enter form fields:
- Title: The name of the Inventory Category
- Parent: Select if you want this to be a sub category
- Suggested: Tick the checkboxes next to the room types you want inventory items loaded to this category to be suggested for rooms
For example, an inventory category of ‘Beds’ would want to be suggested in the room type ‘Bedrooms’ - Details: A field used to describe this Inventory Category
- Check List: Tick this checkbox to include inventory items loaded to this category in the checklist PDF.
- Click Save Setting
Editing Inventory Category #
- Click Settings
- Click Inventory Categories
- Select the Inventory Category you want to edit
- Make the changes to the fields.
- Click Update Setting
Note: this will update all inventory items loaded to this Inventory Category with the suggested room types
Deleting Inventory Category #
- Click Settings
- Click Inventory Categories
- Select the Inventory Category you want to delete
- Click the red delete button
- Confirm your decision by clicking Ok on the confirmation dialog
